Frequently asked questions
Can I follow people manually while IG Growth Pro is running automatically?
Yes. Manual following and the extension's automated following are independent and won't interfere with each other.
Do I need to keep my browser open? Can I put my PC to sleep?
You must keep the browser open and the screen active while a task runs. If your computer goes into sleep mode, the task will stop.
How fast does it follow, and why is it sometimes slower than expected?
The pace is roughly one action per minute, but for account safety we recommend keeping it to about 60 follows per day at most. Real-world speed is often lower because the extension adds safety delays and Instagram may throttle activity.
Why does it process fewer users than a post's total likes or comments?
Instagram limits how many likers/commenters can be retrieved, so IG Growth Pro can only collect a portion of them. Processing fewer users than the total like count is expected.
Why does it keep selecting the same accounts on every run?
Don't run multiple tasks against the same target group (e.g. the same user's followers) at once — overlapping targets create duplicate tasks and repeated accounts. Use a different target per task and let each task finish before starting another on the same dataset.
Can I run two or more extension tabs at the same time?
Follow tasks can run in multiple instances; unfollow tasks can only run one at a time. Running several tasks at once raises the risk of triggering Instagram's temporary restrictions (which can last at least 3 days), so avoid overlapping targets across tasks.
What does the "Error" status mean?
It's almost always Instagram's risk-control system temporarily limiting your account. During this period even manual follows may be blocked. Refreshing the page can resume the task briefly, but repeated actions re-trigger the limit.
I keep getting "Error" / "feedback_required" / "Your request is pending" after only a few follows. What should I do?
This means Instagram has temporarily restricted your account for activity that looks automated or exceeds its limits. We recommend: pause all actions for 24–48 hours to let the account recover; reduce your daily follow/like volume after resuming; don't run multiple tools or extensions at the same time; log in to Instagram manually and clear any warnings or verification prompts; then restart gradually rather than at full speed.
