Frequently asked questions

Whose followers and following can I export?

You can export the followers and following lists of any public Instagram account. For private accounts, you must be an approved follower to see their lists. You can always export your own followers and following.

Do I need to enter my Instagram password?

No. Just log in to Instagram normally in the same browser — the extension uses your existing session and never asks for or stores your password. If you're not logged in, it will prompt you to sign in first.

What formats and data fields do I get?

You can download to Excel (XLSX) or CSV. Each export includes the row number, avatar, username, full name, Instagram user ID, a direct profile link, and a "Followed by you" flag.

Do I need to keep the tab open while exporting?

Yes. Keep the export tab open and your computer awake while a task runs. If you close the tab, the task is saved to your history as paused so you can resume it later.

Can I pause an export and continue later?

Yes. Pause anytime and the current progress is saved to your task history. Reopen the task to continue exactly where you left off, even after closing the tab or restarting the browser.

Why does it sometimes export fewer users than the displayed count?

Instagram limits and throttles how many profiles can be retrieved, and some accounts may be temporarily unavailable. As a result the exported total can be slightly lower than the follower/following number shown on the profile.

Is there a limit on the free version?

The free plan caps the number of users you can export per list. Upgrading to Pro unlocks unlimited exports across followers and following.

Why is the export slow or showing an "Error" status?

To keep your account safe the extension adds delays between requests, and Instagram may rate-limit activity. If you see an "Error", pause for a while and click Retry later. Large lists naturally take longer to finish.
